Adley May, 9, raises money for Texas flood victims (KABB/WOAI)
LA VERNIA, Texas (KABB/WOAI) — In the wake of recent floods, 9-year-old Adley May, a horse rider at Blueberry Stables in Converse, took it upon herself to make a difference.
Adley set up a lemonade stand in her hometown of La Vernia, starting with an initial investment of 100 cups.
The response was overwhelming, and she quickly sold out, prompting her to restock multiple times.
Through her efforts, Adley raised more than $2,000 to aid flood victims in rebuilding their lives.
Her small gesture is a testament to the impact that anyone, regardless of age, can have in their community.
