GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (WKRC) — A woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to hire a hitman on Tinder to murder her law enforcement ex-boyfriend and his teenage daughter.

Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, was arrested and charged on April 4 after a confidential informant told authorities that she had attempted to hire him to murder her ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter, according to a press release from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office of New Jersey.

The pair met on Tinder and talked for multiple days over text and phone before meeting up in person, with Diiorio at some point explicitly saying she wanted her ex dead, per NBC10.

Per the release, the prosecutor's Major Crimes Unit was informed by the confidential informant that he was offered $12,000 to kill the police officer and his daughter. The authorities worked with the informant to set up a trap for Diiorio, during which she reportedly paid the informant $500 up front for the hit.

Officers with the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team immediately moved in and arrested Diiorio and charged her with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and one count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance due to a bottle of suspected alprazolam pills found on her person at the time of the arrest.
