VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Wild Adventures will kick off the 2025 season Friday with a new three-acre expansion to the park.

The South Georgia theme park will debut Water’s Edge, which features three new family-friendly rides, new animal habitats, a new entertainment stage and more.

The marketing director of the Valdosta theme park, Adam Floyd, said $10 million has been invested into Wild Adventures to make improvements to the park and launch Water’s Edge.

“Our main priority is to create experiences that families want to repeat again and again,” said Floyd.

When the new area debuts on Saturday, guests can take a ride on the Boat Parade, a speedboat-themed attraction. Visitors can also enjoy the new swing ride, the Wing Swinger. Water’s Edge is also home to a newly built Ferris wheel where riders can enjoy a view of the whole park.

Floyd said that for the first time, the park is introducing a quiet room for those with sensory needs. They worked with the Valdosta Family Autism Support Team to make sure the room is equipped to help reduce anxiety, stress, and overstimulation.

“We’ve been collaborating with them to give us a little bit of guidance on what kind of materials and what kind of space we can create for these families to make it as inclusive and accessible as possible,” the director said. “We hope that shines through.”

Floyd also talked about what’s in store for the theme park’s concert lineup this year. Willie Nelson & Family, CeCe Winans, Doug E. Fresh, Rob Base and more are a part of the lineup.

Opening day for Wild Adventures is Saturday, March 15. You can find more information about season passes here.
