Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A well-known medical practice in Albany will soon be closing its doors.
Orthopaedic Associates in Albany posted to Facebook that they plan to close the practice on April 30.
The practice says increasing costs and declining reimbursement are the reason for the closure.
“It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the citizens of Southwest Georgia in providing orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. It is with great sadness that we will not be able to continue to do so,” the post said.
In the post, Orthopaedic Associates says it is no longer offering urgent care services.
On Jan. 10, they stopped seeing new patients and new PT evals. On Jan. 30, they plan to stop all surgeries.
Orthopaedic Associates is asking patients to call the office at (229) 883-4707 to obtain a HIPAA Compliant Release Form for their medical records.
