CUSSETA, Ga. (WTVM) - A water main break on Old Louvale Road has left residents within the old city limits of Cusseta without water service.

The break occurred near the Gas N Go Travel Center due to extremely cold temperatures, according to the Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County.

The break was annouced on their Facebook page around 10 p.m. Saturday.

The Water Department temporarily closed the roadway while repairs are underway. Officials advised residents to use an alternate route.

Water Department crews are working in extreme cold conditions to restore service as quickly and safely as possible, officials said.

Residents within the old city limits may experience a water outage or extremely low water pressure during repairs.
