HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) -A man wearing a mask went into a home in the Wicksburg area and sexually assaulted a woman, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday.

The suspected rapist is 28-year-old Joshua Patrick Yance of Dothan, whom investigators said they took into custody Friday following a two-week investigation that began after the alleged rape on January 12.

The sheriff’s office statement said deputies identified Yance after a string of interviews with several people.

The statement did not reveal the age of the victim or additional information about the alleged crime.

Yance is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail.
