ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Stubborn clouds slowly eroded from north to south which left some without any sunshine on Friday. However unseasonably warm temperatures held as highs topped low-mid 70s. Expect widespread fog overnight with drizzle, mist and mild low 60s kicking off the weekend. Clouds gradually thin through the afternoon therefore a sun/cloud mix with highs mid-upper 70s low 80s.
A carbon copy on Sunday. Fog returns with lows low 60s then afternoon sunshine and highs upper 70s low 80s. Albany near its record high of 83° (1957) on Sunday.
Next week brings a pattern change as a cold front stalls and disturbances track across the region. Rain returns Tuesday through Thursday with amounts of 1-2″ across SGA. Drier with seasonal mid 60s on Friday just in time for Valentine’s Day.
