CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - According to the Cordele Police Department, on Wednesday, April 22, at 11:01 a.m., two 3-year-old children drowned near the Pine Hill Country Club in Cordele, at a residence on Aberdeen Circle.
Officials say that first responders from multiple agencies immediately responded to the scene.
“Upon arrival, first responders administered life-saving measures, and both children were transported to Crisp Regional Hospital, where they tragically did not survive.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was called in by the Cordele Police Department (CPD) to investigate on Wednesday.

“We can confirm that GBI was requested by Cordele PD to assist with a death investigation. As the case is active, that is the only information that can be shared at this time. Please monitor our website and X profile for updates.”
