WASHINGTON (TNND) — President Donald Trump set a Sunday deadline for Hamas to agree to a Gaza peace proposal with Israel, warning, " all hell, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas."
Trump wrote the ultimatum on Truth Social after waiting since Monday to hear a response from Hamas to the 20-point plan he unveiled alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
The plan calls for the release of hostages, the removal of Hamas from power, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, and the creation of a pathway toward a future Palestinian state.
Netanyahu praised the U.S. leader’s efforts. “Mr. President, when our two countries stand shoulder to shoulder, we achieve the impossible,” he said.
Trump, in his Friday post, seemed agitated by Hamas not responding and once again ordered the terrorist group to release all of the hostages taken on October 7, 2023.
"The details of the document are known to the WORLD, and it is a great one for ALL! We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other," he wrote on Truth Social. "The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW!"
"An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time," Trump continued. "Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER."
Trump also asked "all innocent Palestinians" to leave the parts of Gaza being attacked by Israel, for safer parts of Gaza."
"Everyone will be well cared for by those that are waiting to help," he said. "Fortunately for Hamas, however, they will be given one last chance!"
