"It's what they deserve!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
In April, Trump called for the Ivy League to lose its tax-exempt status after it openly refused his demands to limit the power of students and faculty over its actions on antisemitism and DEI and immediately report foreign students who violate campus conduct.
The school claimed the president's actions were illegal and wouldn't comply.
“The University will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights,” Harvard wrote. “No government—regardless of which party is in power—should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue.”
The administration responded by freezing over $2.2 billion in funds to the school.
