(TNND) — President Donald Trump said Sunday morning that he signed a major disaster declaration for a Texas county hit hardest by deadly flooding.
The declaration applies to Kerr County, Texas, and ensures federal resources are made available.
The death toll from flash floods rose to nearly 70 on Sunday, The Associated Press reported. The victims included children who were camping along the Guadalupe River in south-central Texas over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Kerr County officials said 11 campers and a camp counselor are still missing.
