Many nominees continue to meet with senators individually before they go before the committees overseeing the agencies that Trump wants them to run.
The Senate unanimously confirmed Marco Rubio as secretary of state Monday after Trump's inauguration. He is the first member of his new Cabinet.
The Republican senator from Florida is among the least controversial of Trump’s nominees and the vote was decisive 99-0.
Here is who will go before the Senate:
Elise Stefanik, U.N. ambassador
Rep. Elise Stefanik, a New York congresswoman, will have a hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and likely be questioned on her foreign policy experience and strong support for Israel.
In 2014, at 30, she became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, representing upstate New York. She later became the youngest woman to serve in House leadership.
The U.N. ambassador represents the United States at the international organization, where there are deep divisions from the wars in the Mideast and Ukraine.
Doug Collins, Department of Veteran Affairs
The former Georgia congressman goes before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.
Collins is a Baptist minister, former Navy chaplain and Air Force Reserve colonel. The VA provides health care to former members of the armed forces.
