KERRVILLE, Texas (Gray News) - Gray Media is launching Together for Texas, a relief effort for those impacted by the devastating Texas floods, in partnership with the Salvation Army.
The campaign aims to support relief and recovery efforts for families and communities impacted by the Fourth of July floods.
With more rain on the way, rescue crews are racing against the clock to find the missing. (CNN, KABB/WOAI, KSAT, KHOU, ROBERT IVEY, GAVIN WALSTON, GOOGLE EARTH)The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services teams are working around the clock to provide meals, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care for those affected.
All funds raised will go directly to flood relief efforts.
Gray Media Texas television stations serving Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa, Wichita Falls, Tyler, Lufkin, Waco, Bryan, Sherman and Laredo will air Together for Texas, a program produced by KWTX.
This half-hour special will air on Friday at 6:30 p.m. CST and will be streamed on Local News Live and on this station’s website and streaming apps.
“We are all moved by the stories of the families and communities impacted by this tragedy,” said Gray Media EVP and COO Sandy Breland. “Gray is committed to telling those stories and shining a light on their needs so they can recover and rebuild.”
Graham Media stations KSAT in San Antonio and KPRC in Houston are also joining this effort.

Together for Texas follows thousands of first responders and volunteers assisting those affected by flooding in the Texas Hill Country.
A team of Gray Media journalists is embedded with a local nonprofit currently serving the communities and will explore plans for addressing the needs for the coming months.
