Description
TIFT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A TyTy woman is facing multiple charges, according to the Tift County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO).
Amanda Smith-Tucker, 33, a mother of two, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 24, after an officer with TCSO received a tip from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) about possible child abuse.
Smith-Tucker’s charges are felony child molestation, bestiality, and computer child exploitation.
Last year, Tucker was hired by ESS to be a substitute teacher for Tift County Schools but quit after her first day in October of 2024. ESS is the company that the school system uses to hire, train, and place substitute teachers.
According to the sheriff’s office incident report, all of the offenses occurred at Smith’s home.
She is currently an inmate at the Tift County Jail.
Tifton Police are investigating an incident at Northside Elementary School allegedly involving an employee. These two incidents are not related.
