The Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) said 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner was shot by responding officers after he opened fire on campus on April 17. Two people were killed and six others were injured as a result of the mass shooting.
Now that the alleged gunman has been released from the hospital, the TPD said he was taken to a regional detention facility on two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder. His booking photo was released to the public.

The Tallahassee Police Department has announced that the probable cause affidavit will be made publicly available following Ikner’s first court appearance.
