Description
DAVISBORO, Ga. (WGXA) — Three men were arrested for attempting to smuggle contraband into Washington State Prison early Friday morning.
According to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran, just after midnight, a deputy patrolling the Davisboro area pulled over a vehicle with no insurance and suspended registration.
As the deputies approached, they observed evidence that "suggested a possible prison drop intended for Washington State Prison."

As all three occupants were asked to exit the vehicle, one of them dropped what deputies believed to be crack cocaine.
When searching the vehicle, deputies seized the following:
- 119 grams of methamphetamine
- 1,156 grams of loose tobacco
- 268 grams of marijuana
- Multiple cell phones and charging cables
- Cigar wraps
The suspects were identified as 47-year-old Lester Bernard Bradely III of Lithonia, 56-year-old Jarvis Smith of Lithonia and 25-year-old Jamal Bryan Moffat of Riverdale, who were all charged with the following:
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Trading with inmates - tobacco
- Trading with inmates - cell phones
- Trading with inmates - methamphetamine
- Trading with inmates - marijuana
Bradley faces an additional charge of possession of crack cocaine. Smith was also charged with possession of MDMA.
