THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Thomasville is warning drivers about an upcoming road closure.

The city’s Wastewater Department is scheduled to begin replacing a wastewater main on East Washington Street between Glenwood Drive and North Mitchell Street at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 23.

This work will cause a section of East Washington Street to be temporarily be closed for approximately three weeks.

Drivers are encouraged to plan an alternate route and prepare for traffic delays when traveling in the area.

Detour signs will be posted while the work is going on.
