VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Eagle Friends hosts inaugural Destiny for Our Daughters Conference on July 26, 2025, in Valdosta.
The conference is honoring the Life and Legacy of Kemisha Davis Copeland.
“As a graduate of Georgia Southern University, I met many incredible women. Some became my best friends, and two became the godmothers of my daughter, Imani. In November 2024, one of my best friends and daughter’s godmother, Kemisha Davis Copeland, passed away suddenly, leaving a void in our hearts and the Valdosta and Georgia Southern communities. Because of the sudden loss, we, Kemisha’s Georgia Southern sisters, will host a conference to honor Kemisha’s life’s passion”, Myra P. Caesar, organizer said.
Ceasar says Kemisha dedicated her life to uplifting and inspiring young women in the United States and abroad.
The conference will be held at the VLPRA Administrative Office located at 1901 N. Barack Obama Blvd in Valdosta from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Registration is open until Tuesday, July 1st.
