THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) — The Thomasville Bulldogs defeated the Bainbridge Bearcats 45-21, bouncing back after a Week 1 loss.

Quarterback Christian Hayes rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns. He also completed 7 of 13 passes.

The win moves Thomasville to 1-1 on the season under coach Jonathan DeLay.

Thomasville lost to Cairo 36-14 in Week 1. Cairo is ranked No. 2 in Class 4A.

The Bulldogs were held to 138 total yards in that game. Most of the offense came on two scoring plays: a 56-yard run by Hayes and a 34-yard pass from Hayes to Kensley Reddick.
