SYLVESTER, Ga. (WALB) - A teen was arrested after a bomb threat was made at Worth County Middle School.
On Aug. 21, a 14-year-old was arrested and taken to a RYDC facility after a School Resource Officer at the school was able to identify the teen as the person who wrote a note threatening that the school was “going to blow up,” according to a release by Sylvester Police.
The threat was made on Aug. 19. WALB reported that the school was evacuated and later received the “all clear.”
“We are truly grateful that no one was injured in this incident. Thank you all for your exceptional service to the City of Sylvester Community,” Sylvester Police said.
