Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Thursday, March 12’s storms will not have an impact on the crawfish festival scheduled for Saturday, March 14, according to festival organizers. Although part of the Thronateeska’s train exhibit roof was damaged, organizers said the festival will still happen as planned.

“If you’ve always wanted to try crawfish and wanted an opportunity to learn how to eat them and have it prepared by somebody that know what they are doing, you can watch them cook it, and they give you plenty to eat. It’s all you can eat and they don’t skimp around.”

Proceeds will support music education and Albany Symphony Orchestra activities. The festival runs 4–8 p.m. at the Thronateeska, located at 100 West Roosevelt Avenue.

Attendees will get all-you-can-eat crawfish and live music. The crawfish boil will be catered by Crawfish County Catering from Louisiana. Black Cat Zydeco will perform throughout the event.

Tickets will be available at the gate for $75.
