LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Lee County Board of Commissioners announced on Tuesday that they have named a sole finalist for their county manager position.
The release said that Scott Addison is the lone qualified candidate to fill to position of county manager following the retirement of longtime manager Christi Dockery on May 9.
An employee at the Lee County Records Office told WALB that Dockery’s retirement was not a surprise to those who worked at the Board of Commissioners. Dockery reportedly told the staff about a month prior of her retirement.
The release said that Scott Addison has an 11-year career in local government and a strong background in public administration, strategic planning and intergovernmental coordination.
The Lee County Board of Commissioners said they will make the official decision to fill the county manager position at the June 10 meeting at 6 p.m.
