VALDOSTA , Ga. (WALB) - A Valdosta man is wanted for an alleged night club shooting from this past weekend.

The Valdosta Police Department (VPD) named 46-year-old Kapreal Jamil Griffin as the primary suspect in a shooting that injured one person.

VPD responded to a man being shot at The Boardwalk Ultra Lounge on Bemiss road on Saturday, May, 2, official said.

Officers rendered first aid to a 27-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim is in stable condition, according to officials. Investigators say the victim and Griffin knew each other.

Griffin faces 4 felony charges in the shooting. He is charged with:

• Aggravated assault-felony
• Aggravated battery-felony
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon-felony
• Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony-felony

Griffin’s whereabouts are unknown. VPD describes him as being 6’2” tall, 260 pounds, with short hair and facial hair. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

“If anyone is found to be assisting Griffin in evading arrest, they will be criminally charged with hindering the apprehension or punishment of a criminal” VPD officials say.
