Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) —Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital participated in the Wave of Light on Oct. 15, honoring babies who died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, and other causes.
The Wave of Light is an international day of remembrance. At 7 p.m. in each time zone, families and supporters light a candle and let it burn for at least an hour, creating a continuous 24-hour wave from east to west.
“We’re here to honor and remember the lives, the names, and the days that these babies and children left in our hearts,” said Hannah Phillips, LPC, a perinatal therapist. “Each loss, as Jennifer and Lyndsey have said, is deeply personal.”
This was the first time Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital participated in the event.
