ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that occurred at the intersection of Whispering Pines Road and Dawson Road around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 1.

According to the APD, the car in question accelerated before hitting a pedestrian crossing on Whispering Pines Road. That vehicle, caught driving down Dawson Road, was described as a dark blue Honda Accord with the tag number CNK5328.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.
