ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Operation Santa will soon start accepting letters to help make holiday wishes come true.

In a Facebook post, USPS Operation Santa said the program will start accepting letters on Sept. 15. While not every letter will be adopted, participating is a great way to enjoy the holiday spirit.

"Even Santa needs backup, and that’s where YOU come in Every year, USPS Operation Santa® helps holiday wishes come true. Families can send letters to Santa, and generous volunteers can adopt one to make the magic real."
