Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A few areas of fog return on Sunday morning as temperatures dip into the low 60s. Otherwise, it is another rain-free day with highs climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s for many. Sunshine will move in by the afternoon after a morning clouds slowly drift out. By the night, a front will slide into South Georgia. It will not impact temperatures much but many areas could see temperatures a few degrees cooler than previous days. Monday will be similar to Sunday with little to no rainfall likely.
Tuesday will start a wetter pattern in South Georgia as an upper-level flow promotes more lift in the atmosphere. Tuesday rain chances are low, but not zero with increasing rain chances throughout the week before a cold front slides in on Thursday. Thursday’s rain chances could feature a low chance for severe weather, but it is too early for exact details.
Cooler temperatures take over by the end of the week. Temperatures will still be above average, but cooler than the upper 70s and low 80s. More rain is possible through the Valentine’s Day weekend.
