COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - WALB has the learned new information regarding the other driver involved in the crash, that left a mother and her 3-year-old daughter dead.
On Sunday, October 13, the driver of a Ford F150 pickup truck failed to yield at the intersection of GA-111 on Bob Taylor road and crashed into a vehicle filled with members of a family.
According to Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the driver of the Ford F150 has been identified as George Montgomery, 48, from Union City, Ga.
Montgomery was also injured during the crash and had to be taken to the hospital, and was later transferred to another.
He has not been booked into the Colquitt county jail. GSP tells WALB, charges in reference to this crash are still being actively investigated by the SCRT unit.
