Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - An area of low pressure across the Southeast United States will aid in shower and thunderstorm development over the next few days. Today, rainfall will begin in the morning with isolated thunderstorms before more showers and storms arrive during the afternoon and evening. Highs will be capable of reaching the low 90s, but as rain moves in, many could stay in the upper 80s. Heat index values will remain in the triple digits. Overnight, we are dry and humid in the mid-70s.
Widespread rainfall takes over on Thursday and Friday before rain chances slacken up slightly into the weekend. However, rain chances will continue through next week. As rain chances relax, the chance for steamy highs will remain as we soar into the mid to upper 90s.
Tropical Update: The Atlantic Basin is quiet over the next 7 days. We will keep you updated as hurricane season progresses. Stay tuned.
