SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A Sumter County jury has convicted a man in connection with a child molestation case.
Roderick Whitehead was found guilty of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
He was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 years to be served in prison on each count.
The case was prosecuted by District Attorney (DA) Lewis R. Lamb, with the assistance of DA Investigator Renee Stewart-Lloyd. The investigation was carried out by the Americus Police Department.
