THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Deputies with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) arrested a man in a domestic violence incident.

On Thursday, June 19, deputies with the TCSO responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 300 block of Sanford Heights.

According to TCSO, the victim in this incident was strangled with an extension cord.

The sheriff’s office opened an investigation into the incident. This investigation resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Germain Baynard.

Baynard was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He remains incarcerated at the Thomas County Jail.
