Wed, October 15th 2025 at 7:52 PMMACON, Ga. (WGXA) — A man was arrested for attempting to steal from a Macon convenience store on Wednesday morning.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, around 7:50 a.m., deputies responded to a call about a burglary at the Dollar General at 1444 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The report claimed that in-store surveillance video showed a man "forcefully" entering the business. At the scene, deputies arrested the suspect, who was identified as 58-year-old Rodney Wade Fyffe of Macon. BSO says Fyffe was found with stolen merchandise in his possession.

Photos of the Dollar General taken on Wednesday evening show that the glass doors of the business have been boarded up, with a sign from management that reads, "Currently we are closed, sorry for any inconvenience."
Fyffe was charged with felony second-degree burglary and is being held at the Bibb County Jail without bond.
