VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) – City crews with Valdosta’s Central Lines Division are making emergency repairs to a broken water main along North Patterson Street, prompting temporary lane closures Wednesday.

Officials say the southbound right lane on N. Patterson Street is closed while repairs are underway. Traffic control devices and arrow boards are in place to help guide drivers through the area.

Northbound traffic on N. Patterson Street and westbound traffic on Ann Street are both moving normally. However, eastbound traffic on Ann Street is being detoured onto Toombs Street until the work is complete.

The city expects repairs to take about three hours and is asking drivers to use caution, follow posted signs, and allow extra travel time when driving in the area.

City officials thank the public for their patience as crews work to restore service and ensure the safety of the roadway.
