NEW YORK (TNND) — After a grueling six days on the witness stand, the ex-girlfriend of Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is using the pseudonym "Jane," had her last day of testimony on Thursday in the sex-trafficking trial.

Federal agent Jonathan Perez, another of Combs' assistants, and additional witnesses are testifying on Friday.

Kanye West made a surprise appearance in court, telling reporters that he was there to support the fellow rapper.

The defense concluded by cross-examining Jane about "hotel nights," where she said she was forced to take part in sex acts with male sex workers at Combs' request, the couple's alleged financial relationship and the conflicting love and resentment she has for the music mogul.

Prosecutors allege Combs used violence, threats, and a network of employees and associates to control and abuse women for two decades. His lawyers have told the jury in federal court in Manhattan that although there was domestic violence in his relationships, everything he did sexually was consensual.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to a five-count indictment and faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted on all charges. He is facing charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, transportation for purposes of prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy.

Cassie Ventura, Combs' girlfriend from 2007 to 2018, testified for four days at the beginning of the trial about being forced to participate in hundreds of "freak offs," which is just another name for "hotel nights."

When Ventura's sexual abuse lawsuit against Combs was made public in November 2023, Jane said she read several pages that were similar to her experience.

"I was reading these pages, and they felt like a nightmare. I can’t believe I’m reading my own story," she recalled on the stand while crying.

When Jane's emotional testimony ended, she hugged a prosecutor, Maureen Comey, in front of the jury, which would have drawn an outcry from the defense, except she hugged defense attorney Teny Geragos too.
