IRWIN COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — One group of young Irwin County students are being recognized by the school district for their dedication to helping their neighbors in need.
The Irwin County School District said a group of middle school students helped pack food bags to be distributed to members of the school community.

The students performed their work their a partnership with “Helping Hands Help End Hunger.”
The district said the students’ determination to help others is nothing short of inspiring.
“We appreciate their hard work and the example they set for others,” the district wrote on a Facebook post.
