MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — Multiple apartments were damaged in an accidental fire at a complex in Macon on Wednesday morning.
According to the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, around 11:00 a.m., crews responded to a fire at The Woods apartments on Napier Avenue.
They arrived to find a two-story apartment complex with heavy flames and smoke showing from the front of the building.

Crews began extinguishing the fire and searching for anyone trapped inside. They eventually gained control of the flames, and no one was injured.
Investigators determined the fire was accidental. The apartment where the fire started sustained heavy fire, smoke and water damage, with three adjacent units sustaining water and smoke damage.
WGXA asked the Macon-Bibb Fire Department if anyone was displaced in the fire and has not heard back.
