BERRIEN COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged 15-year-old Austin Abrams of Ray City with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection to a shooting that left 43-year-old Michael Paris dead.

On Wednesday, May 20, WALB reported that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was assisting the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office in a death investigation.

Sheriff Ray Paulk told WALB deputies found Paris dead in the roadway from an apparent gunshot wound. Abrams was identified as the shooter and was immediately detained.
