TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - An FSU student injured in an apartment complex fire last month has died, according to a GoFundMe update.
Preet Harsoda, 27, passed away Sunday, after being severely burned when a fire broke out at a building at the Social Seminole apartment complex, his roommate confirmed to WCTV.
Harsoda had been hospitalized as a result of his injuries since the November 19 fire, according to the GoFundMe.
“He faced his injuries with remarkable courage and strength, and his medical team did everything they could to care for him,” the GoFundMe read.
In a December 17 update, the GoFundMe said Harsoda had undergone several surgeries, including the amputation of both legs.
The fire at the Social Seminole apartment complex left one building severely damaged, injured eight people and displaced more than 70.
The cause of the fire remains unknown as of Tuesday.
