(Gray News) - You may want to check your freezer; some frozen berries sold at Walmart have been recalled.
Packages of the Great Value brand of organic triple berry blend has been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.
The blend includes strawberries, blackberries and blueberries and comes in a 10-ounce package. It has a “best if used by” date of Feb. 9, 2028. The packages can also be identified by the lot code 6040 01-6.

The berries were sold at Walmart stores in 16 states:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Florida
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Minnesota
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
- Texas
- Wisconsin
So far, no one has reported getting sick from the frozen berries.
Customers are advised not to eat the berries if they have any and instead return the package to Walmart for a full refund.
This recall is part of a larger recall of frozen, organic blueberries produced and sold by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. of San Carlos, Chile. The blueberries are believed to be the cause of a multistate E. coli outbreak.
So far, packages of frozen organic blueberries and mixed berries sold at Publix under the GreenWise brand have also been recalled.
