BACON COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — A former school bus monitor is facing charges after allegedly showing pornography to kids.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested Jerry Alvin Sweat, 70, of Alma. He’s charged with exhibiting harmful materials to minors. Sweat is a former school bus monitor for Bacon County Schools.

The GBI says on Oct. 7, they were requested by the Bacon County School District Police Department to look into allegations that Sweat had showed porn to kids under the age of 16 while working as a school bus monitor.

Sweat turned himself in Oct. 13 and was booked into the Bacon County Jail, GBI says. He was also fired from his job by the Bacon County School Board before his arrest.
