VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (TNND) — The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information on a person who appeared to point and fire a pistol at federal law enforcement during a raid at a marijuana farm in southern California on Thursday.

Protesters and border patrol agents clashed at a farm in Camarillo, in Ventura County, over immigration raids.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said the alleged shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Laguna Road.

"FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo," Essayli wrote on X.

The post included a photo of the suspect wearing a black t-shirt and a white medical mask. A video from KABC in Los Angeles showed the alleged shooting happening.

"Make no mistake: anyone who targets our agents will face the full force of federal prosecution," U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement.

Assistant Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin said law enforcement was executing a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility at the time of the incident.

The incident comes as federal immigration enforcement agents ramp up arrests in California.

The Trump administration has had the National Guard protecting ICE agents carrying out the raids, and this week it sent a large caravan with guns and horses to MacArthur Park in Los Angeles.

A federal judge on Friday temporarily barred the Los Angeles Police Department from obstructing or using force against journalists covering protests, following allegations that officers deliberately targeted members of the press during anti-ICE protests that broke out in the city last month.
