ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Summer continues seasonably hot and humid with scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms. Each day separates the haves and haves nots. Some days you’re wet while most are dry.
Friday brought two areas of rain and storms which moved east with brief heavy rain and lots of lightning.
Last night drying out as lows drop into the mid 70s.
Few showers to beat the heat this weekend. Isolated showers and storms on Saturday become scattered on Sunday. With more sunshine around expect hotter mid 90s while feeling more like 100-105°.
Early week the hottest of the season so far, mid-upper 90s as heat indices rise to 105° and higher. Heat Advisory criteria is a heat index of 108° which is possible. Be safe and heed any signs of heat related illnesses.
In the tropics, tropical development is not expected over the next 7 days.
