DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) — The family of LaCambria Toomer is continuing to hold onto hope as they wait for her body to be found.

Family, friends and loved ones held a candlelight vigil Saturday, Aug. 22, to honor her life as they seek closure.

Today, we gather not because our journey is complete, but because our love for Lacambria remains steadfast. Until the day she is brought home, we’ll continue to honor her life

With the family still not knowing where her remains are and unable to properly bury her, holding a vigil is their way of expressing grief.
