VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) — A reported “brawl” involving employees and patrons at Wild Adventures on Sunday, April 12, is under review.

A concerned parent said he was simply trying to enjoy a Sunday out with his family after purchasing gold passes to the park when the situation unfolded.

According to the parent’s tip, the day started off well, but the parent said he began noticing employees being rude, disengaged and difficult to understand while operating rides.

He described workers as “half doing their job,” being loud and socializing instead of focusing on guests.

The situation escalated later in the day at Lone Star BBQ, where the parent said children were sitting on tables and being disruptive. He said employees began yelling from the back of the kitchen before coming out, which is when a physical altercation — described as a “brawl” — broke out involving both employees and patrons.

The parent said the experience was “very disheartening” after paying for a year pass and witnessing the incident.

The incident reportedly happened Sunday around 4 p.m. at Lone Star BBQ inside the park, according to the parent.

It is still unclear what led up to the “brawl” or how the situation was handled.

WALB has reached out to Wild Adventures for clarification. They have released the following statement:

“Wild Adventures confirms that on Sunday, April 12, our security team and on-duty deputies responded to a physical altercation at the Lone Star Restaurant and quickly disbanded the crowd.  

Wild Adventures prides itself on being a place for families to create memories worth repeating and has zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior of any kind. 

Identified hosts involved have been terminated. We are supporting the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office to identify additional individuals involved".
