COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - A Douglas woman is behind bars after she allegedly fired shots during an altercation.
On April 3, deputies responded to a shots-fired call in the area of Ramblewood Rd. and Jasmine Dr. in Douglas. Upon investigation, authorities determined that 38-year-old Shonda Rollins had been involved in a confrontation with an individual known to her. During the altercation, Rollins discharged a firearm in a reckless manner, prompting several 911 calls.
According to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, despite multiple attempts, detectives were unable to contact the other person involved in the incident. A third-party later confirmed that the individual was unharmed and unwilling to cooperate with law enforcement.
As a result of the investigation, Rollins was arrested and charged with reckless conduct. She is currently being held at the Coffee County Jail.
