DOERUN, Ga. (WALB) — City leaders are warning residents about possible water outages on Thursday tied to the Highway 133 widening project.

Crews are relocating utilities, and some areas may experience brief water service interruptions between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Different parts of the city may be affected at different times.

Once water service is restored, residents might notice air in the lines or cloudy water from tiny air bubbles. Officials said that is normal after an interruption and should clear up if residents run their cold water for a short time.

The city thanked residents for their patience as the widening project moves forward.
