ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — On this week’s Dialogue, the Sherrod Institute’s Arts & Agricultural Expo 2026 and a community wellness fair hosted by the Rho Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. were featured.

Karen Lawrence, outreach coordinator for the Sherrod Institute, and Michael Smith provided information about the expo, described as a free, community event celebrating art, food, farming and community. Attendees will be able to pick muscadine grapes and view Resora’s black Angus cows.

“We’ll be experimenting with a lot of different things,” Lawrence said.

Dr. Latonya M. Peterson and Dr. Shakedra Harris of the Rho Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. also appeared on the program to promote the chapter’s community wellness fair, to be held in Sumter County.
