ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — TODAY: A muggy and sunny start. We heat up to 90° midday with heat index values near 100. By this afternoon we reach the middle to upper 90s with heat index values 105+. A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms may cool a few off into the evening.

TOMORROW: Widely scattered showers and storms in the afternoon keeps us away from the upper 90s, but with higher humidity it will still feel like 105+.

MID WEEK: Drier air returns and temperatures stick in the middle 90s with heat index 100-105.

LATE WEEK: Heat and humidity build back bringing heat index values to 105+

WEEKEND: 4th of July will be just as hot with slight rain chances by afternoon and evening. Scattered showers and storms return by Sunday afternoon taking the heat back down a little more.
