COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has arrested Christopher Martin, following an investigation into multiple reports of suspicious and indecent behavior at Main St. Park in Moultrie.

According CCSO, the investigation began on April 30, 2025, after a concerned citizen reported seeing a white male in a gold Dodge truck acting suspiciously at the park, including making repeated arm motions suggestive of inappropriate conduct in view of children and adults. Additional sightings of the same individual — later seen in a black Dodge truck — were reported through May 19.

Authorities linked both vehicles to Christopher Martin and began surveillance. On May 20, investigators stopped Martin near the park and observed him with his pants down and a sex toy and lotion in plain view. He was detained and later admitted to masturbating in public and recording videos, including footage involving two girls at a nearby pickleball court. The ages of the girls are still under investigation.

A search of Martin’s phone revealed incriminating videos, and charges related to public indecency and possible child molestation are pending. Martin has been banned from all Moultrie Colquitt County Parks and Recreation and Board of Education properties.

The Sheriff’s Office praised the alert citizen whose report led to the arrest. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 616-7430.
