DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - A man is facing charges after police discovered pornographic images created using artificial intelligence technology that depicted an adult and a minor.
Rubin Jewell, 37, was arrested on Friday, April 17, after a complainant at the Coffee County Law Enforcement Center alleged Jewell created and possessed digitally altered pornographic images using artificial intelligence technology, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.

A digital device believed to contain evidentiary material was voluntarily surrendered to investigators and collected as evidence, according to the sheriff’s office.
Officers arrested Jewell at a home on Pecan Street. He was taken to the Coffee County Jail.
Jewell is charged with possession or control of material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The case is still active, and additional charges may be forthcoming pending further forensic analysis, according to the sheriff’s office.
